The Uber-ization of Everything

Why did I just waste my time reading this crap? Demand and supply.
The greater the demand, the more it costs to supply.
Nothing about meeting real needs of real people. At least not the
people I hang with. Hire someone to hold your place in the line at
the Opera House? How about getting those folks to stand in line at
the grocery check out, or at the bank? And the line waiting to merge
on the freeway or to creep onto the Ferry. Or someone to sit in at
the doctors office for the two hour wait past your appointment time.
But us Working Class and Retired Class folks don't get much credit for
our time spent. Because I'm not Mister Gotrocks or Doctor Jarvis, or
Senator Jarvis, my time is of no value. Forget that I am just as much
a member of the human race as those who count their seconds in
thousands of dollars. It comes back to the upside down value system
we've been forced into. Stuff is worth more than human life. We
invented money and gave it a higher rating than we give a new born
baby. Or an old blind man.
I'll tell you all this, I'll never stand in line to see someone who
would not stand in line to see me.
And that, my friends, gives me lots and lots of free time to do
something for myself.
