It is Thomas Young Day

Late Sunday night, or early Monday morning, Thomas Young died in his
sleep at his Seattle home.
Believing he was volunteering to fight the War Against Terror, in
Afghanistan, he was shipped off to Iraq and in 2004 he was critically
wounded and paralyzed from mid-chest, left in intense pain and never
to walk again.
Sent off to fight Terror when the real Terrorists lurked in the
Capitol in Washington D.C.
A brave young 24 year old man defending two of our histories most
cowardly men. George Bush and Dick Cheney. But as tragic as the ten
years of suffering endured by Thomas Young, it was only one life
destroyed among thousands of other young men and women who were fooled
into an illegal war declared by the Rulers of the great American
Empire.
"Body of War" is a film which should be required viewing by all Americans.
Today on Democracy Now, Amy Goodman talks with Phil Donahue,
revisiting the heroic life of Thomas Young.
