Re: The Republicans' Profane Attack on the Sacred Right to Vote

I listened to the report on democracy now. Glad to see that
Washington State had the good sense to drop out of this Interstate
Voter
Registration Crosscheck Program. But the existence of such an effort
to squash citizen's right to vote comes as no surprise. I'm sure that
our founding fathers would roll over in their graves if they could
know what has become of their efforts to set up a new nation dedicated
to protecting the freedom and rights of the landed gentry. Free
slaves? Give the vote to women? And allow Indians, Blacks, Chinese,
Mexican and commoners to claim first class citizenship and the right
to vote and express their views? Poppy Cock!
Things have gotten out of hand for the Ruling Class...our Founding
Fathers. Now, and for many years, the Ruling Class has busied itself
with figuring out how to pull in the reigns and regain total control.
Today there are many who are gobbling up the crumbs from the heavily
laden tables of our Masters, believing that they are living the good
life and are free to do as they please. At the same time there are
many who once dined on these crumbs, who have been dealt a piece of
reality when the crumbs were cut off. But even as they fell from
Grace, those who were still gathering in droppings, scorned them and
told them that it was their own doing that had caused them to fall on
hard times. After all, they were still playing a winning game.
Of course they are not playing a winning game. They are being played.
And when it is determined that their usefulness is no longer of value,
they will also be tossed on the discard pile. And all of us will be
told over and over, that it is our own fault. And many of us will
believe it. And some will take their own lives.
But so long as the Ruling Class controls our thinking, and so long as
we allow wealth to be the sign of success, we will remain under their
control.
We need to rise up and put an end to Capitalism, and change our values
to place Love and Respect in place of lust, greed and gold. Our
measure of wealth must exclude violence, lust, greed, and all of the
material finery that we currently consider in how we measure success.
But if we close our minds and hope to make it to the grave without our
little lives being disturbed, the day will arrive when they come
knocking on our door. And we will have no one to back us up.
