There is some really strange thinking going on in these old United
States of America. So here's my contribution.
We have a federal government. Why? Because we are a Nation! There
are activities that call for a Central Government, one that can look
out for the good of All Citizens.
Suppose for example, that North Korea, along with China, decides to
take over Alaska. Do we sit on our hands and say, "Gosh, I hope
Alaska can handle it." And if they can't, do we say, "Too bad they
didn't do like California would do." We are, despite our many
differences, *One Nation! We have a Central Government put in place
by "the people", to care for national needs. If we don't like how the
people we put in place are doing, we can work together to relieve them
of their jobs and put other people in their places. We all pay Income
Taxes to support the services we demand from our Federal Government.
As an American Citizen, I expect several basic services from my
government. Protection; boy do we have that one covered: Education;
All People wanting to advance their education should be considered to
be in the best interest of our future, and should be free to those who
can make the grades: Health; A Healthy, well Educated Nation is to the
advantage of all Americans, thus creating that Great Nation which
Donald Trump thinks was somewhere in our past, but is really in our
future...if we demand it: and finally, a Nation that provides for its
People, safe cities, good housing, clean air and water, healthy
produce, and Hope for a Brighter Future for our Children. In other
words, putting People's needs ahead ...or in place of Profit.
Do not be fooled into thinking we should be testing National Needs at
the State Level. This is simply a ploy by the Ruling Billionaires to
stall for time...time to increase their personal fortunes. Health
care and Education must always be publicly run. Who in their right
mind would take the American People out of the driver's seat? It's
our nation, for God's Sake! We, the People must step up and demand
the kind of government that puts us, All Americans, first.
