Apple Spin

Apple Spin

As I've said in the past, we blind folks are damned if we do and damned if we don't.  I think the first question we need to ask about any item we purchase is whether we need it or just want it.
If we need it in order to do our job or as a tool to assist us in maintaining our independence, then why agonize over how and where it is made.  Are we going to not buy an Apple product in order to make a political statement at the expense of our jobs?  That sort of sacrifice will not change anything except for our economic status.
Buying the item and then writing the company and protesting where and how it is made is not going to gain us anything, either.  Because all corporations are playing by the same rules, they know that we will be back for the new, improved model in the future.  What are our choices?
If we are going to put forth the energy to protest the conditions under which these useful products are made, then we need to spend it where it will do the most good.  And that is not attacking one corporation or another.  It's the system that is in need of change.  Apple or any other corporation can take tons of hate mail, just so long as the system protects them and they are continuing to sell their products.
What if we actually stopped Apple from selling stuff?  What if we really did put up such a campaigne that they closed their factory doors in China and shuttered their outlets around America?  All we've succeeded in doing is to make sales go up for Apple's competetors.
The system is still in place.
As I've said, the American Revolution continues to expand, and is the most successful revolution in the history of Mankind.  The way to stop the Corporate Empire is to have a Working Class Revolution.  Until we take the power away from the Empire, we will continue to serve them.
