when the shoe is on the other foot

Eric,
Christianity grew out of extreme oppression.  Despite being persecuted and tortured back when the Empire was Roman, not American, Christians huddled in secret in fear of their lives.
And then the tables turned.  Christians grew in numbers and began to rattle their sabers under the noses of those who would not bend a knee to Christ.  This included Jews, from whose womb Christianity sprang.
If there is a God, and I question this, He has allowed Hatred to reign.  It doesn't matter what Faith or color or gender people happen to be.  They lash out at one another for all of the same reasons.  They dress it up to sooth their conscience, but it is hatred nonetheless.
There is only one person over whom I have any control.  That person is Carl Jarvis.  And I don't always do such a hot job at that.  But I figure that if most of the time I reach out to others with caring and love, I will have caring and love returned....most of the time.  Take care of Eric and you will find it a full time job.

Carl Jarvis

I'll answer you by saying the following: Why would anyone want to down
Christianity?  Trying to force someone's will, because someone is different
from you is wrong.  If Christians want to stand up for their beliefs, fine.
I, on the other hand, do not feel it deserves good  f someone takes down a
place of worship, in the name of another faith.  There is more than meets
the eye here.  Why is it that Islamic people are treating women like
garbage?  I don't go to sleep at night with that type of attitude.
