Face it, we're in a Class War

In response to a comment by a blind man who believes our government is being taken over by psychopaths.

Dear friend,
I believe that we are in a Class War. As blind people we need to consider whether we agree or not, because it does impact how we proceed as a People's Movement.  In light of this, I would caution you and others not to declare those we disagree with as psychopaths.  I say this because such labeling makes it more difficult to cut to the heart of issues and make meaningful progress.
Stereotyping is one way of avoiding having to study and understand a particular group of people.  We blind folks understand all too well what the blind stereotype does in creating negative images among the general public.  This has created a chasm between us, slowing down our progress toward equal status.
The same is true once we label the members of the Ruling Class as psychopaths.  These people are a collection of vary rich, powerful individuals who are about as bright or dull as we are.  They have their reasons for doing what they do in order to protect what they have.  Even though I believe much of their power and wealth has come through devious and suspect methods, i.e. Wall Streets and International Banks creaming off our homes, property and hard earned dollars, etc., their behavior is exactly what we would expect, in fact what we ourselves would do to protect our status.
Name calling and labeling are great stress relievers.  I know.  I enjoy doing it myself.  But it is not going to lead to solutions.  Just look at what name calling and ranting have done in the Wikileak situation.  Public figures calling for the assassination of Julian Assange.  Is that how we really want to see our nation go?  Become a bunch of criminals?  Sneaky killers?
Most of us blind folk are either Middle or Working Class people.  How we regain some of our losses and protect our American Dream is going to depend on our ability to mount a strong front against the Ruling Class.  They have the upper hand at the moment because they have been carefully doing their homework for many years.  This means we need to determine exactly how we begin our own long range plan.
