When did 'greed' make its appearance on the scene or in the scenery?

That's an easy one, Dick.
Eve came prancing past Adam with an armload of the fruit from the tree of knowledge. "Hey!" shouted Adam, "Gimmee some of them." Remember, they had no schooling.
"Go fly a kite...whatever that means," Eve retorted. "I found them and I'm gonna eat them."
"We agreed to share everything equal, like the communists we are," cried Adam, lusting after the fruit.
"You Commies are all alike, just wanting the fruit of someone else's labor".
Adam jumped up and tackled Eve, yelling, "You agreed, you agreed!"
"A greed? What's a greed?" Eve asked, tucking the fruit under her fig leaf mini skirt. "Greed is what you are, you old greedy woman. I'm sorry God took my rib to make something as greedy as you". "Well He could have finished the job," she said, staring at his naked body. "I got none of that cool plumbing that you got".
"Not only are you filled with greed, but you got penis envy, too." At this point they forgot the fruit and raised a little Cain while they were still Able.
