change comes from the people, not from government

Subject: Re: Patriot ACT Nightmare Sees the Light of Day as FBI Raids Activists

As heavy handed as our government has become, it is critical for us to continue putting pressure on our elected officials for relief from oppression.  Remember, change comes from the people, not from the government.  Governments defend the status quo.
It is also important to remember that even though we elected Obama as president, he was well screened by the Empire Builders before being allowed to move up as a serious contender.
The people who have the power, the wealth, the military might are not interested in Democracy.  We must not be fooled by their platitudes.  They are interested in one thing, and one thing alone.  Control.  They have worked hard to gain the upper hand and are not going to smile and hand over power to the people.
Obama is not our friend.  He may be the better choice among the limited choices offered to us, but he is not our president.  He belongs to the Empire Builders and will do their bidding when push comes to shove.
And we should remember another thing.  Obama and other politicians are not evil, or bad people.  They may be bought and paid for, but they do care for their people.  And they are trying to do what they believe is best for their people.  It is just that their people are not our people.  Once our people figure out that Obama and those in power are not elected to work for us, then we may have a chance at mounting a new front.  A new front that will put our people in power.
