What more evidence do we need for us to understand that we live in two America's. There is the America that remains aloof from the devastation of budget shortfall and cutbacks and unemployment and grinding poverty and over priced medical care, and there are the rest of us.
Perhaps it is time that we ended this idea that wealth has its privileges. Perhaps we might decide that *All Americans will share in both the good times and the bad.
We can begin with universal health care and follow right along with universal education. All Americans will receive free medical services. All Americans will receive free education. All Americans will pay their fair share of these costs. There will be no private schools. You want little Jack or Jill to have additional education than that which all children receive? Put them in Saturday school, or evening class. But by God, you will pay for and support your National Education.
Why are the Ruling Class members receiving a free pass? Why are we allowing ourselves to be led like so many sheep, and turning on our own people and defending the right of the Ruling Class to treat us like so many hand maidens and servants?
From now on I will not vote for anyone who will not pledge to insist that All Americans take part in our government.
