Put Women's Lives Before Politics

Remember, we are all on board this Ship of Fools together.
For years I've been trying to figure out why so many women join organizations that reduce women to objects for the pleasure of men.  And I could never understand why Blacks would ever join the Mormon Church.  Nor, for that matter, why Catholic women don't give the Pope a piece of their mind on their way out the door.
How can men say that they support their wives right to be their own person, and then vote to limit their choice, or belong to a church that wants to impose their beliefs on everyone, without conceding that there might be other equally valid positions?  I no longer belong to any church for the very reason that I will not be part of an organization that is closed minded...and yet, here I am, walking the deck of this Ship of Fools.

I used Planned Parenthood as a young woman in need of their services.  It's
infuriating that the right wingers infiltrated an organization like Komen.
They argue that Planned Parenthood doesn't do mammograms.  A breast exam is
not the same thing as a mammogram.  Young women don't routinely need
mammograms, but do need breast exams as part of a wellness checkup.  This is
what Planned Parenthood provides, as well as referrals.  y the war on
women?  Women can't be counted on to vote heavily Democratic.  The other
thing I'm mad at is the right wing criticism of Obama as fighting a war on
Catholics.  This is because he wants birth control service as a part of the
Affordable Care Act.  He never said Catholics have to use it.  How do you
oppose people who routinely lie and deceive as part of their tactics?

Hi Carl,

Great!   The more who know, the more we stand a chance of
reversing that stupid decision.
