Subject: News Alert: Head of NRA calls for armed officers in American schools
Armed guards in every school. Good golly Miss Molly, why didn't we think of this? Now that we're following that line of reasoning...did I say, reasoning?...we should provide sober drivers at the doors of every tavern and cocktail lounge. The problem is not drunkenness, it's a matter of safe passage.
All women need to have a strong male escort, and they really should begin wearing those head to toe garments. Nothing turns a rapist off more than to have to cave in the head of the escort and then try to fumble around in that heavy gown.
You say that's silly? No more foolish than the well thought out solution by the NRA.
Let's not try to deal with alcohol abuse, let's just protect the drunks. And if we're able to really protect all of our women, won't that solve the problem of rape?
So the solution to violence and gun abuse is more guns, more armed guards.
This mad merry-go-round is getting out of control...Let Me Off!!!

Head of NRA calls for armed officers in American schools |
| | | | | Friday, December 21, 2012 11:41:13 AM | | | National News Alert | | In his first extensive public remarks since the mass shooting at a Connecticut school last Friday, the head of National Rifle Association on Friday suggested that pressing for schools to be free of guns makes it easier for mass shootings to occur there.
"Politicians pass laws for gun-free school zones, they issue press releases bragging about them ... in doing so they tell every insane killer in America that schools are the safest place to inflict maximum mayhem with minimum risk," said National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre at a press conference in Washington, D.C.
In a press conference that was interrupted twice by vocal protesters, LaPierre also blamed "blood-soaked" movies and violent video games such as "Kindergarten Killers" for the Connecticut shooting.
"The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun," he added.
