I remember after WW II, people kept asking, "How could so many Jews just allow themselves to be led into the gas chambers? Why didn't they put up a fight?"
That question might well be asked today. "Why do so many Americans allow their money, property, and dignity to be taken from them without putting up a fight?"
We've gotten real good at describing the problem, but we still can't seem to figure out an answer.
