Welcome to the Twilight Zone

In a way, many Americans are becoming refugees escaping from a disaster.  Very much like the refugees in Haiti, only Americans are caught up in a man made disaster.  But just like the Haitians, thousands of Americans are losing their homes and being driven into the street.
And just like the Haitians, our great leader has promised relief.  And just as with the Haitians, nothing is happening.  There is no relief for the little guy.  Relief comes only to those who do not need it.
I just shake my head at times.  How bad does it have to get before we understand that we are expendable.  Can't we see that our houses and property are more important than our lives?  Once our jobs are being done cheaper by slave labor in China, South Korea, Latin America, etc., and once our property has been stripped away, we have no more value to the Empire Builders.  In fact we are a liability.  And so many of us are herded into either the military or into prisons.  As for the rest of us, we are fed lies and filled with fear and mistrust and turned loose on one another.
Welcome to the Twilight Zone.
