I am an advocate of public education. Totally funded by our Federal government. From pre-school through college.
Furthermore, I would fully fund day care facilities for working parents, including single parents looking for work.
And here is why.
If we are to go forward as a nation we need to begin to act like one, rather than a collection of feuding Fiefddoms. We need a uniform system that will educate each child to their potential. This includes disabled and blind children, too.
If we do not take control of our own government and demand a high standard of education and the funding needed to reach that goal, we are guilty of letting our children and our nation down. No priority can be higher than that of developing enlightened, educated and well balanced young adults to take up the task of building our future.
Remember, we are already underwriting the education of the children of the Ruling Class. Every child deserves that standard of education.
