do some blind deny their roots when they become successful?

Why do some blind people feel that they must trash their fellow blind? 

 

In calling their unemployed brothers and sisters "Lazy", they are demonstrating their ignorance.  They have never learned our history or the history of any down trodden disenfranchised people.  But it is no different in any minority struggle.  Those who manage to get their heads above the squaller are often times so afraid that they might be pushed back down, that they feel they must posture and stomp about denying their roots.  Others are just plain opportunists, climbing out of the blind ghetto on the backs of their fellow blind.  And of course there are the House Servants, licking the boots of their Masters in order to keep an entry level job and feel better than their hapless brothers and sisters still being held down.
