silly lap dogs and the prince of peace

As he was firing General MacStupid, the Prince of Peace restated to the world exactly what he'd meant during his campaign for the presidency.  What he really intended to say was, to paraphrase him,  was a suggestion that we might be sort of looking at maybe beginning to think about bringing some troops home and perhaps discussing plans for some day changing the name of "War on Terror" to maybe, "Hands On, Loving Care".
Speaking straight to us, straight from the pages of Orwell's 1984, the Prince of Peace performs some amazing verbal acrobatics to proclaim that his aggressive, warlike behavior is actually bringing an end to this mockery.  And us silly lap dogs lap it all up.  "Why, just look at what he has accomplished that those McCain people wouldn't have done for us" we babble.  "Health reform, for example".  Isn't that sort of how we go about "reforming" our prisoners.  Take something really bad and mess it all up and send it back out as "improved".
You know, I swear that we're sounding and behaving just like the House Slaves back in the "Good Old Days" of early America.  Happy to grovel for a few crumbs from Massa's table.  Believing that we're so much better off than those dumb field hands, while failing to understand that we are still slaves and Massa can beat us whenever he chooses.  Or maybe it's because we subconsciously do know it.
But as long as we go along believing that this Prince of Peace has our best interests at heart, while he continues to escalate and endorse the killing of innocent people in this illegal war of ours, and as long as he steals our hard earned dollars to finance his illegal war, and as long as we see our American Way of Life being shredded, we can only expect more of the same.
Remember, Massa never lets up until the slaves rebel and take over the plantation.
